Palm Island Party

Last weekend Net hosted a "Palm Island Party: Barbecue and Beer" engagement party for some dear family friends at her house. Net loves a party with a theme as much as I do!

The happy couple is getting married this weekend on Palm Island. I'd never heard of it but they said it is so small it's easy to walk around the entire island and is only accessible by boat. I can't imagine!

The hosts and hostesses with Crystal and Lee - what a great group of people! I love going home and getting to visit with people I've known all my life. There are multiple generations of friendships represent here. Dad and Uncle Buford rode horses with Lee's mother and her sisters growing up and Lee's grandparents and Net and Granddaddy were the best of friends. Net tells many great stories of the adventures they had flying in Lee's grandfather's plane.

Net's centerpiece was beautiful - a pineapple surrounded by pink azaleas and ferns from her beautiful yard. There was Coleman's BBQ, potato salad, Chinese coleslaw for supper followed by lemon cups and buckeyes for dessert.

The pool looked amazing - just a tad bit too cold to enjoy just yet.

The azaleas were in full bloom and the day was just perfect for an outdoor party. Not too hot and no bugs!

Best wishes to Crystal and Lee!
